Why was that spot not seed stitch? Looks at picture of Sweater

So I started knitting on Vivian and have been doing a lot of knitting on the bus as traffic has been a nightmare in New Jersey lately.  So I have been moving along pretty quickly and started wondering if I would finish the sweater in a couple of week instead of the month I had mentally assumed.
It was going well. Except for those two spots. Why was that spot not seed stitch? Looks at picture of Sweater. Hmm I can’t see that bit, continues.  This morning I sat and stared at the section of the pattern I had kept wondering about. A section of 8 stitches that was k1, p1 ribbing on both sides of the sweater.
That just doesn’t seem right. Goes back to chart. Reads slowly. Reads again. Right, I forgot that whole,   K on RS,  P on WS, and that the markings alternated. So do I frog 25 rows of perfectly fine kitting for 16 stitches? Once upon a time I may have, if it was lace I would have had to.  This time?

I saw all the films and I was trying to pick up on other performances that I appreciated

Logan Lerman participated in a new interview with Mr. Porter, where he talked about his new films, costars, his personal life, and so much more.
On his favorite movies: “ I have a long list, but I can’t say that I have a favourite film. The first ones that come to mind are Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, American Beauty, Full Metal Jacket, Being John Malkovich and Adaptation. I also love The Truman Show.”
On how he prepared for his role in The Three Musketeers: “I saw all the films and I was trying to pick up on other performances that I appreciated. I surprisingly liked Gene Kelly’s performance the most, as it was the most fun. It was light and it didn’t take itself too seriously – which made me enjoy the film more because I could see that character was enjoying himself. And that’s what I wanted to bring to my portrayal, honestly, I have a hard time watching myself. In my case, it’s just better to work.”
On his Perks costar, Emma Watson: “She’s fantastic and really is a very talented girl, and she’s totally down to earth. I have only great things to say about her. She’s exceptionally hardworking.”

She cooled to the idea when I told her that if I were pregnant I was giving the baby to her

All of the results were from pregnant women who were all wacky wavy inflatable arm people (in my mind anyway). Oooooh I’m pregnant and my boobs hurt!; Oooooh I’m pregnant and my chest feels like it’s on fire!; Oooooh I’m pregnant and everything is different because I never had sex-ed because I grew up in the bible belt and was told that storks deliver babies and now I think they must have meant my doctor is going to be a stork because I am pregnant and I’m definitely not a stork and oooooh my boobs hurt.
Yeah, I agree with you; that last one was oddly specific.
Of course, the problem here is that I am not pregnant. No way, no how. Unless I’m Mary Part 2 (a sequel I would NEVER see or want to be starring in).
So I asked my friend, who has kids, if she ever had this problem thinking if she did, she might be able to tell me what caused it.
She didn’t; and instead of making me feel better she tells me it could be a hysterical pregnancy which can apparently happen in women who desperately want to be pregnant (not me) and women who desperately don’t want to be pregnant (ding ding ding).
Then, another friend was so convinced I was pregnant from this one little thing she was on the brink of planning a baby shower. She cooled to the idea when I told her that if I were pregnant I was giving the baby to her.
So today, I finally went to the doctor who confirmed for me that I do not have a hysterical pregnancy because, well,  I’m sane. Her words.
And now it’s a waiting game. She did the following blood work (above the line). Apparently depending on how that goes it could mean an MRI down the road and possibly… uh… and Ant. Pit.? Ant’s pits seem kind of small to me, so I’m guessing that’s an “if all else fails and we have to go the witch doctor route” thing.
But hey, I’ve been wrong before.
So, for the next week or so, feel free to send some good vibes my way. Just make sure they’re cold.

I don’t understand the concept of non-washable baby clothes

The brand of the yarn is “Spud & Chloe – Sweater”. It’s a worsted weight, cotton/super wash wool blend. I specifically chose something nice (don’t want acrylic) yet machine washable. I don’t understand the concept of non-washable baby clothes. Given the intense color (colorway: Popsicle), it doesn’t bleed at all.
One thing I would do differently is the way I do my “Make 1″ stitches. I would have more of a lacy, girly effect if I knit in the back of the loop instead of knitting in the front of the loop, whereas now there are no visible holes in the top of the sweaters.
Also, this is the newborn size. I was a little concerned that they are too small, but after blocking, they may actually be big enough to allow couple months of growth!

I have a unprecedented urge to knit some sweaters

Here’s a change of scene. As the temperature reaches all-time high (or at least in my mind), I have a unprecedented  urge to knit some sweaters. Of course this motivation comes from my brand new twin nieces. I just want to make them stuff, lots of stuff. Perhaps it’s to compensated for the fact that I can’t see and hold them until November.
It turns out that making baby sweaters are uber satisfying. As opposed to my typical 4-month knitting when it comes to a sweater for myself, these sweaters only take about 5 hours a pop. It’s a free pattern from ravelry.  If you search for “5 hour baby sweater”, there should be several for you to choose from, although I think they are awfully similar.
